Travel Guide

Getting Here

Flying In

There are two major airports you can fly into when visiting Santa Teresa, Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) in San Jose, and Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (LIR) in Liberia. We recommend the San Jose (SJO) airport since it provides the easiest way to get here.

Getting to Santa Teresa

After you've arrived to Costa Rica, you will need to either drive, take a shuttle or a charter plane to Santa Teresa. If you travel by car, from SJO (San Jose), you will need to travel to a ferry in Puntarenas, this ferry will transport you and your vehicle to Paquera, where you can drive to Santa Teresa from there. Going by shuttle will take the same route, and the ferry ride will be included. Or you can take a charter plane to the Cobano Airport, which is a quick 25 min drive to Santa Teresa. The Cobano airport has taxi services, shuttles, and car rentals, from there.
